Chris Rose and Kenny Florian


Chris Rose and Kenny Florian are the hosts and commentators for Battlebots.

Biography

Season 11

When Jacob and Jackson went to Baltimore to film Battlebots, they met Chris Rose and Kenny Florian. They told Jacob and Jackson what they needed to do[1].


Paul Ventimiglia


Paul Ventimiglia is a robot builder for Battlebots, and the captain of Team APTYX Designs.

Biography

Season 11

Paul Ventimiglia was alongside his robot, Bite Force when Jacob and Jackson came to Battlebots. The pair interviewed Paul prior to Bite Force's fights with Blacksmith and Hypershock[2].

Robot History

Paul also competed in the 2015 and 2016 seasons with Bite Force. In the 2015 season, Bite Force made it to the final round, where it beat Tombstone to become the 2015 Battlebots champion. In the 2016 season, Bite Force was completely redesigned and did not do quite as well as it did in 2015. In 2016, Bite Force only made it to the round of 16 before being defeated by Chomp. In 2018, Bite Force once again became the Battlebots champion by defeating Minotaur in the final. At the 2019 Amazon Alexa BattleBot Challenge live event, Bite Force placed third, defeating Icewave and Whiplash. Bite Force also competed in the 2019 season of BattleBots.

Overall, Bite Force has a 20-1 win/loss record, with its only loss coming against Chomp in 2016. Over the three seasons, Bite Force was seeded 3rd, 4th, and 3rd, respectively[3].

Al Kindle


Al Kindle is a robot builder for Battlebots. He is the builder of Blacksmith.

Biography

Season 11

Al Kindle appeared alongside his robot, Blacksmith when Jacob and Jackson came to Battlebots. The pair interviewed Al prior to Blacksmith's fights with Bite Force and The Four Horsemen[4].

Season 13

Al later appeared when Jacob and Jackson returned to Battlebots, again alongside Blacksmith. Jacob and Jackson interviewed him prior to Blacksmith's fights with Quantum and Kraken[5].

Robot History

Blacksmith competed in the 2016, 2018, and 2019 seasons. In the 2016 season, Blacksmith was one of twelve robots forced to fight through the three-way melees of the qualifier round in order to make it into the main bracket. In this fight, it was victorious over Gemini and Basilisk. This win put Blacksmith through to the round of 48, where it faced Bronco. Blacksmith lost this fight, but was given a wildcard and thus continued through to the round of 32 as the 26th seed. There, it faced Minotaur. Blacksmith lot once again, and was eliminated from the 2016 tournament.

Over three seasons on Battlebots, Blacksmith has a 3-8 win/loss record. In the second season, Blacksmith was the 26th seed. Unfortunately, Blacksmith did not reach the Top 16 in the third season[6].

Will Bales


Will Bales is a robot builder for Battlebots. He is the builder of HyperShock.

Biography

Will Bales appeared alongside his robot, HyperShock when Jacob and Jackson came to Battlebots. The pair interviewed Will prior to HyperSock's fight with Bite Force[7].

Will also competed in the 2015 and 2016 seasons with HyperShock. In the qualifying round of the 2015 season, HyperShock faced Mohawk, the team of which is comprised of other members of the Bales family. In this match, it took only one hit for HyperShock to knock out Mohawk, who was counted out 35 seconds into the fight. In it's next fight, HyperShock faced the number 3 seed, Bite Force. Unfortunately, HyperShock's drive motors burned out during the fight, and it was counted out 2 minutes and 41 seconds into the fight. In the 2016 season, HyperShock was able to beat UltraViolent and Warrior Clan, before losing to Poison Arrow. However, due to Will Bales's driving, HyperShock won the Best Driver Award at the end of the season.

Over four seasons, HyperShock has a 6-7 win/loss record. In the first two seasons, it was seeded 14th and 11th, respectively. Unfortunately, HyperShock did not reach the Top 16 in the third season[8].

Ian Watts


Ian Watts is a robot builder for Battlebots and Robot Wars. He is the builder of clusterbots, The Four Horsemen and The Swarm. He also formerly competed on Battlebots with Bigger Brother, Little Sister, Bull Dog, and Creepy Crawlies, and on Robot Wars with Big Brother, Bigger Brother, and Or Te. He is the team captain of Team Big Brother.

Biography

Ian Watts appeared alongside his team and their clusterbot, The Swarm when Richard Hatt brought Jacob, Sierra, and Kira to Robot Wars filming[9]. The team later appeared with The Swarm when the bots competed in the live Robot Wars event on Sodor[10].

Later, Ian competed with The Four Horsemen when Jacob and Jackson came to Battlebots. The pair interviewed Ian prior to The Four Horsemen's fights with Blacksmith and Gemini[11].

Overall, Team Big Brother has a 23-17 win/loss record on Robot Wars[12], and a 5-9 win/loss record on Battlebots[13].

On Battlebots, none of Ian's robots have ever been seeded. On Robot Wars, Bigger Brother was seeded 14th, 2nd, and 4th in series 4, 6, and 7, respectively. Bigger Brother was also the runner-up in series 5, where it lost to Razer in the Grand Final[14].

Andrea and Mike Gellatly


Andrea Gellatly and Mike Gellatly are competitors on Battlebots. Their robot is Witch Doctor.

Biography

Andrea Suarez and Mike Gellatly appeared alongside Witch Doctor when Jacob and Jackson came to Battlebots. The pair interviewed them prior to their fight with Yeti[15].

Witch Doctor competed in all four seasons of the Battlebots reboot, as well as the Amazon Alexa BattleBots Challenge live event in June of 2019. Over these five events, it has a 8-7 win/loss record. Throughout these events, it has been seeded 9th, 3rd, and 13th respectively[16].


Greg Gibson


Greg Gibson is a robot builder from Battlebots. He competes with his robot, Yeti.

Biography

Greg Gibson appeared alongside Yeti when Jacob and Jackson came to Battlebots. The pair interviewed him before his fight with Witch Doctor[17].

Yeti competed in seasons 2 and 3 of the Battlebots reboot. Over those two seasons, it has a 7-3 win/loss record, with its only losses coming against Tombstone, Icewave, and Whiplash. Throughout those two seasons, it was seeded 12th and 7th, respectively[18].


Tom Brewster


Tom Brewster is a robot builder from Battlebots and Robot Wars. He competed on Robot Wars with Tauron, and on Battlebots with Monsoon, alongside Tim Rackers from Team Concussion.

Biography

Tom Brewster was first seen when Richard Hatt brought Jacob, Sierra, and Kira to Robot Wars filming[19]. He later appeared with Tauron when the bots competed in the live Robot Wars event on Sodor[20].


Tom was later seen alongside Tim Rackers and their new robot Monsoon.

Overall, Monsoon has a 4-2 win/loss record on Battlebots, with its only losses coming against Son of Whyachi and Minotaur, respectively. It also was named the 12th seed in the third season.

On Robot Wars, Tauron has an 0-3 win/loss record throughout series 9 and 10.

Tim Rackers


Tim Rackers is a robot builder from Battlebots and Robot Wars. He competed on Robot Wars with Concussion, and on Battlebots with Monsoon, alongside Tom Brewster from Team Tauron.

Biography

Tim Rackers was first seen in the ninth season episode Good Effort, alongside his robot Concussion. He later appeared with Concussion in Robot Wars Live, where it fought at the first Robot Wars live event on Sodor.

Tim was later seen alongside Tom Brewster and their new robot, Monsoon.

Overall, Monsoon has a 4-2 win/loss record on Battlebots, with its only losses coming against Son of Whyachi and Minotaur, respectively. It also was named the 12th seed in the third season.

Tim Rackers later someted on the fourth season of the Battlebots reboot with Ragnarok, along with Jack Tweedy, who had previously competed with Vanquish.

On Robot Wars, Concussion has a 9-4 win/loss record throughout series 9 and 10, including one Grand Final appearance.

Ravi Baboolal


Ravi Baboolal is a robot builder from Battlebots. He competed with his robot, Red Devil.

Biography

Ravi Baboolal appeared in Battlebots Filming Day alongside Red Devil. Jacob and Jackson interviewed him before fights with Monsoon and Valkyrie, as well as before his participation in a rumble with Bombshell, DUCK!, Valkyrie, Gigabyte, and Lucky.

On Battlebots, Red Devil competed in the second and third seasons of the reboot. It has a 4-5 win/loss record and was the 30th seed in season 2.


Marc DeVidts


Marc DeVidts is a robot builder from Battlebots. He competes with his robot, Icewave.

Biography

Marc DeVidts appeared in Battlebots Filming Day, alongside Icewave. Jacob and Jackson interviewed him before his fights with Vanquish and Rotator.

On Battlebots, Icewave competed in the first three seasons of the reboot, as well as three live events, including the Amazon Alexa BattleBots Challenge in June 2019. Overall, Icewave has a 9-8 win/loss record. Throughout the three seasons of the reboot, Icewave has been seeded 2nd, 8th, and 6th respectively.
