Beau is a fictional mining tender engine created by Ian McCue and Andrew Brenner.
In 2018, Beau made his debut and only appearance in the movie, Big World! Big Adventures!.
Beau is voiced by Kerry Shale in the CGI version of the series on both sides of the Atlantic, respectively. The character is voiced with a matching accent to his home country, though much like fellow American engine Sam, Beau is portrayed with a stereotypical Texan accent.
Beau is based on the Virginia & Truckee No. 12 Genoa. Though his livery is based on the replica of the Central Pacific No. 63; 'Leviathan'.

CGI Model[]
In 2009, the series introduced Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI) as a replacement for the show's long-standing live-action models. In 2017, Beau was created from scratch in CGI by Jam Filled Toronto for the 2018 movie, Big World! Big Adventures!. The model was "hand-sculpted" in Maya, a 3D animation and modelling software.
