Season 26[]

Fred Pelham, along with Rickety, S.C. Ruffey, and Old Bennett, was a part of a train Marigold and Bruno were tasked with taking, with the trucks described as "four of the most troublesome trucks on the whole Island" by Brady. The trucks would cause trouble for Marigold, resulting in her derailing at the bottom of Gordon's Hill[4].

Basis[]

Fred Pelham is based on an 8-plank open wagon with fixed ends. These wagons are often used by private owner companies to transport minerals such as coal and stone. Some of these wagons are preserved by heritage railways, such as the Bluebell Railway. [5]

Rickety is also based on these wagons.
