Jacob and Rylie's Blue Mountain Adventure is the tenth episode of the first season.

On her second day on Sodor, Rylie, along with Jacob, Sierra, Kira, Cassie, Caroline, Brady, and Maddox is sent to work at Blue Mountain Quarry for the day.

At the quarry, Jacob, Skarloey, Rylie, and Rheneas are given the job of taking a train of stone to James at the Transfer Yards.

When the four collect their train, Jacob becomes impatient, causing them to leave without a brake van.

Everything is running smoothly until the four come upon a hill. They reach the top with no trouble, but when they reach the top, their heavy trucks surge into the engines, causing them to speed down the backside of the hill. Jacob tries to apply Skarloey's brakes but they do not work. Rylie then tries to apply Rheneas', but his wheels just skid on the rails, which are still wet from the rain the night before. After speeding past Bertram, the train is diverted into a siding. The engines crash through the buffers and into a small pond.

Duke soon arrives and, with help from Bertram, pulls Skarloey and Rheneas from the pond and shunts them back to the Quarry. Upon their arrival, Jacob is scolded by Mr. Percival. He, Rylie, Bertram, and Duke then take a new train of stone to James at the Transfer Yards.
