After the two pass one another, Gordon and Edward also pass one another. Gordon is pulling the express and Edward is pulling a mixed goods train. | |

The scene changes to the Three Way Road. Duck goes over the top track pulling red coaches, BoCo travels the bottom track pulling a goods train. | |
Narrator | The engines were all busy pulling goods and passengers up and down the line. |
The scene changes to Richard Hatt’s office. Richard Hatt is at his desk on the telephone. | |
Narrator | Mr. Hatt decided to borrow another engine to help with all the work. |
Richard Hatt | Splendid, thank you. How long until he arrives? Tomorrow? Splendid! Thank you, goodbye. |
The scene changes to the next day at Brendam Docks. Salty, Dawn, and Porter are all shunting cars. Cranky, Carly, and Big Mickey are all busy unloading ships. Just then, a rail ferry arrives. Dawn, Porter, and Salty stop and watch as an unfamiliar whistle sounds. Lorenzo puffs off of the ferry pulling Beppe. Just then, Matthew arrives with Richard Hatt in his cab. Matthew stops and Richard Hatt steps down from his cab. | |
Richard Hatt | (pleased) Ah, right on time. What’s your name? |
Lorenzo | Lorenzo, Sir. I hope it's alright that I brought a-my coach, a-Beppe. I just could not a-bear to leave him behind. |
Richard Hatt | That’s quite alright. The more the merrier, I always say. |
Dawn | (whispering; to Porter) I've never heard him say that before. |
Porter | (whispering; to Dawn) Me either. |
Richard Hatt | Lorenzo, you and Beppe will be working with some other coaches taking passengers on the Main Line. |
Lorenzo | Yes-a, Sir. |
Beppe | Right away-a, Sir. |
